We have not seen Mathew since he lived in Halifax but our memories of him are happy ones. We remember with fondness the day we went to Jill and Fred's for tea and our two children, Danielle and Adam, thought Mathew and Philippa were wonderful. We can still see the image of Adam, who was only about five years old, walking alongside Mathew who was twice his height. As they walked side by side, Adam slipped his hand into Mathew's pleased to be accepted by this big boy who he looked up to in every sense of the word. We will always remember how kind and gentle Mathew was and very patient with his young friend.
